Learn how a car’s air conditioner actually works

Whether it is used for a house or it is fitted in a car, the objective of an air conditioner is to make the temperature cool and pleasant and all of them more or less work in a similar fashion. In fact, a number of people do not realize that running an AC can help to decrease the total number of miles per gallon of your own car. A lot of energy can be used to remove moisture and heat from the air inside the vehicle and it consumes petrol due to additional engine load. According to the experts, there are a few important components of an AC unit and that each of them can play a vital role in pulling in cool air on a hot day.

The first step is to take inert gas such as Freon and then place it inside the air conditioning system.  This type of gas can be pressurized using a compressor so that this pressurized gas is heated up by absorbing energy. In the air conditioning unit, this hot gas can be circulated through several tubes where it can dissipate the heat. If the heat dissipates, the gas can return to the liquid form that again may be circulated inside the car’s cabin. This procedure of absorbing heat from inside and then dissipating it in the outside space is what produces the cooling effect. The gas that has been widely used is none other than Freon, which is known for handling hazards. Because it has been discovered that Freon or R12 was dangerous to the ozone layer of the earth, it has been phased out for automotive use and can be replaced with mild R-134a refrigerant.

Knowledge about the functioning of an auto air conditioning system is necessary. More important is to get hold of a popular car AC manufacturer who comes up with high-quality compressor, condenser and other components. Subros Limited is one such company dedicated to offering hi-tech components for diverse vehicles for the last thirty years.
